About your School
Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth (CVV) is a ‘de novo’ category Deemed-to-be-University founded in the year 2016. The University marked the centenary year of the inspirational visionary, renowned Vedantic master, teacher par excellence and founder of Chinmaya Mission, Swami Chinmayananda. CVV, with its headquarters at Chinmaya International Foundation (Adi Sankara Nilayam, Ernakulam, Kerala, India), has been established as a torchbearer for the preservation of Indian cultural heritage and its knowledge traditions through higher education. Founded on the principles of Purity, Spirituality, Practicality, and Innovation, our core mission is to blend the ancient and time-tested wisdom of India with present-day knowledge fields.
The School of Ethics, Governance Culture & Social Studies (EGCS) at CVV is a preferred destination for policymakers, lawyers, scholars, activists and students. We at EGCS are committed to building an Indian jurisprudential approach towards law and policy.
At EGCS, we are always looking out for new ideas and research that impact daily lives. We are home to numerous deliberations on law, legal theory, and public policy. This school, through the medium of teaching, training, deliberations, discussions, writing, and consultations are attempting to create discourses on a variety of legal and public policy issues. As an effort to create conversations on different legal and public policy issues, EGCS has organized numerous conferences, seminars, and webinars, which is heavily followed by students, professionals, and government officials within the country and worldwide. EGCS strongly encourages student activities around public policy issues and ensures student participation in research projects.
