The COVID 19 pandemic response is getting stretched beyond what we anticipated. The 73rd World Health Assembly met virtually on 18-19 May 2020 and adopted a global commitment to declare COVID 19 immunization as a global public good. The WHO’s Director General in his opening statement said that “The world doesn’t need another plan, another system, another mechanism, another committee or another organization. It needs to strengthen, implement and finance the systems and organizations it has.”
