The participation in the global market has become almost an inevitable preference for individuals and communities. The necessary skills, knowledge and legal support are most of the times beyond the reach of the common man, especially those who live in the lesser advanced nations of the world

The LL.M, in International Trade and Commercial Laws offered by CVV provide students the opportunity to study how the law relates to commercial endeavours within a globalised economy from the perspective of a legal practitioner. The program intends to cover a broad range of commercially focussed modules that draw on the wealth of commercial expertise across academics and industry. 

The faculty of CVV brings together highly qualified law professors and experienced law practitioners to ensure that the classroom experience is supplemented with adequate practical training on issues related to trade and commercial laws.

Key Outcomes:

  1. The students shall sharpen their already acquired skills of legal interpretation with deeper insights on complex realities of international commercial laws and private international laws.
  2. The students shall learn legal framework of international business, inclusive of trade and investments, especially that of India and its major trading partners.
  3. The students shall enhance their competencies and skills in comparative legal analysis.
  4. The students are expected to develop good communication skills, both written and oral, in order to place forward their learned-recommendations before their clients.
  5. The students are expected to develop analytical and practical skills to handle, manage and resolve legal issues relating business houses, either independently or cooperatively in a professional manner.

Core Courses:

Core Courses enable students to specialize in the core area of their degree and develop expertise for gainful living. Core Courses are compulsory for all students pursuing the Programme. The following Core Courses are offered for the current programme

  6. Applied Corporate Laws
  7. Drafting of Advanced Commercial Instruments 

Elective Courses

Elective Courses are courses that are related to the core areas of the programme, but where students can choose whether to opt for it or not. Interdisciplinary course may also be offered under the same category of courses.

  4. Intellectual Property and Competition Laws 
  5. International Commercial Arbitration 
  6. IT Laws and regulations
  7. Regulation of International finance and investment 

Foundation Courses:

Foundation courses are designed to give a clear understanding of major principles of Bharatiya Darshanas, Indian history and Culture. These course help students to apply traditional Indian Knowledge to contemporary fields.

Self Immersion Courses

Each student is required to take two courses in this category. These courses provide an opportunity for students to involve themselves deeply in introspection and societal orientation. The following are the experiential immersion courses that students will be required to take:
